Since Baker Roofing Company has been in the city of oaks since 1915, we know some of the best local restaurants, family friendly activities, and coffee shops in Raleigh! We love being a part of the triangle community, especially through our partnership with the Durham Bulls. Durham Bulls Baseball

Does anything go along with a baseball game better than a hot dog or popcorn? The DBAP concession stands are home to many delicious eats, and you can also check out Two Roosters Ice Cream’s newest location inside the park. Yellow Dog Bread Company

This delicious local bakery is the guilty pleasure of the Baker marketing team. Catherine can be found sipping one of their refreshing iced vanilla lattes at least once a week. Yellow Dog is also a great place to pick up fresh bread for dinner or a sweet pastry for dessert!

Two Roosters Ice Cream

Anyone who loves ice cream should make the trip to Two Roosters. Their amazing ice cream is made from milk and cream from farms in Raleigh and Julian, NC. Along with their sweet, standard flavors, they rotate through themed flavors each month! In May, they had local elementary school students come up with the ideas for the flavors of the month. Two Roosters is the best stop to satisfy your sweet tooth and support local!

The Alamo

The Alamo Drafthouse takes movie watching to the next level. Movie goers relax in reclining cushion seats, and can order delicious food, milkshakes, cocktails, and NC draft beer. Their lobby bar, Video Vortex, also houses over 30,000 VHS tapes that nostalgic customers can rent and enjoy at home. If you are looking for a unique night out or summer family activity, check out The Alamo!

Trophy Brewing and Pizza

Trophy Brewing is a fantastic local brewery and pizzeria! If you’re interested in pizza we recommend the Local Celebrity. If possible, try to go on one of their themed days. Trophy recently had Strawberry Day featuring a delicious pizza with strawberries and a balsamic drizzle!

Side Street

This tasty, hole in the wall, spot has been serving Raleigh delicious sandwiches, soups, and desserts for years. The food is consistently fresh and delicious, and the unique atmosphere and linen table cloths make it a great first date spot. If you do swing by, have a slice of chocolate pie for us!

  • Prentiss Baker’s Sandwich: Betsy Buford’s Equal Time

If you ever see our Chairman, Prentiss Baker, at Side Street Restaurant you will find the Betsy Buford sandwich in front of him. He loves the unique marshmallow flavor, and recommends it to anyone who visits Side Street!
