Questions

How long do cedar roofs last?

In terms of cost-savings, cedarwood is long-lasting, making it an ideal roofing material, and lasts at least 10 years longer than common roofing materials like asphalt shingles. Cedarwood doesn’t last as long as slate or clay tile but can still be a great option depending on how long you plan to stay in your home!

Cedar Shake vs Cedar Shingles

Which is best? Architectural or three-tab shingles? This is one of our most frequently asked questions! We have spoken to our team across the SouthEast to get their input on why they prefer one over the other. In short, we prefer Architectural. We want to be thorough and provide some more information about why we feel that way so we made a full blog post about it. Feel free to read more, here!

Can you repair cedar roofs?

Cedar shingles are easy to repair by properly trained technicians. You can simply cut away damaged shingles and replace them. It is important to find a team that is qualified to do this as most cedar roofs are custom-cut. Ideally, you’d want someone who can match the existing roof style as closely as possible.
