National Roofing Week 2019

Monday: Charitable Projects
This year we wanted to highlight a project our Residential team completed with the Habitat for Humanity organization who organized the collaborative build of a house for a family in need in Wake County North Carolina. It was great to see the various contractors come together and we were honored to be part of the project. Although this was Habitat Wake’s first approach to a collaborative build, it was such a success there will be a second build in the Fall of 2019! Click here to see pictures of the completed home!
Tuesday: Employee Training
One of the best ways to ensure employee safety and the quality of our work is on-site training. Baker Roofing Company offers several training courses through the educational program, Baker University. For example, Roofing 101 is available to all employees but is especially beneficial to those new to the roofing industry. Even our office employees, from marketing to accounting, walkout from the class with basic roofing knowledge to help them better perform their jobs. Baker University also offers technical skill classes including courses on TPO Roofing, Metal Roofing, and Project Manager Training.
Wednesday: Employee Appreciation
Our roofing crews are vital to Team Baker and work incredibly hard to carry out our motto of “Always Good Work.” Baker Roofing Company would not be where it is today without them. This year we wanted to show our appreciation when they arrived at dawn Wednesday morning. They were greeted with hot coffee, breakfast, and snacks to get them through the day. It is always a fun morning for all involved, and happens to be our favorite day of National Roofing Week! Take a look at photos from the morning here!
Thursday: Signature Projects
Since Baker Roofing Company has expanded to cover the Southeast, there are a number of signature projects we would like to highlight. Thursday allowed a great opportunity to showcase exciting projects from our branch offices. Also featured later in this newsletter, the Nashville team recently completed the roof on the tallest residential building in Nashville! At 522 feet, 505 Church Street posed a unique challenge. Read the full article on this project here.
Friday: Celebrate
We wanted to wrap up the week on a high note by celebrating Charles Avery, who has worked for Baker Roofing Company for 40 years! He never missed a day of work and never had any injuries on his crew! What an accomplishment and display of #AlwaysGoodWork. Thanks for all you did to make Baker a great place, Charles! We wish you a happy retirement!
