NC Mask Update

Yesterday, the Governor of North Carolina announced that masks would become required in public, social and business settings where proper social distancing cannot be maintained.  This will be effective Friday, June 26th through Friday, July 17th.

While this mandate is specific to North Carolina, we may see other states follow suit.  With this in mind, the management team at Baker Roofing has deemed it both a requirement (NC) and prudent recommendation (non-NC locations) to adhere to the following guidelines:

  • Maintain proper social distancing – 6 feet or more wherever and whenever possible
  • Wash your hands and sanitize your work-space (truck or office) often
  • If you cannot practice proper social distancing indoors or outdoors, you should wear a mask / cloth face covering – including the following
  • Utilizing hallway and common area indoor spaces
  • Utilizing conference room and dining spaces
  • Utilizing Training Spaces
  • In trucks where there is more than one occupant
  • When meeting with customers
  • When meeting with co-workers
  • Limit all outside visitors to BRC offices if possible – employees only allowed
  • We strongly encourage you to utilize video conferencing, phone calls, emails, and texts in communication with vendors, customers, and employees to limit interactions.
  • AS A REMINDER, IF YOU ARE SICK, PLEASE CONTACT YOUR SUPERVISOR, HR DEPT., AND STAY HOME

This will pass. However, it is in all of our best interests to do anything we can to keep each other healthy and keep our business operational. This is a small sacrifice of personal freedom and comfort in order to help reduce the spread of Covid-19 and remain open for business.  We can do this!
