Puckett's Grocery and Restaurant

In the 1950’s there was a small grocery store in Leiper’s Fork, Tennessee called Puckett’s Grocery. It was a small community store and meeting place with a hometown feel. In 1998 Andy Marshall bought Puckett’s Grocery and began to transform it into a restaurant and music venue.

Puckett’s expanded to several locations across Tennessee including downtown Nashville. Although the live music and comfortable atmosphere of Puckett’s is amazing, it is the delicious food that made it our Baker Roofing Nashville Team’s restaurant recommendation!

The general manager of our Nashville branch, Randy, swears by Puckett’s BBQ Brisket. It is amazingly tender, and has a delicious, smoky flavor. In order to achieve the amazing flavor that they’re known for, many of Puckett’s meats are smoked over cherry wood for hours. If you are having trouble choosing a side, go with the skillet mac ’n cheese! It is wonderfully cheesy and tastes like it should be on Grandma’s Thanksgiving table.

Although you may be stuffed from your tasty dinner, we recommend staying to enjoy a deep fried brownie sundae and some live music! Next time you are visiting Nashville we hope you walk a couple of blocks off of Broadway to enjoy Puckett’s Grocery. You can also check out 505 Nashville across the street. It is the tallest residential building in Nashville, and one that we had the pleasure of reroofing. What’s your favorite restaurant in Nashville? Let us know in the comments below!
