  1. Leaks and Water Damage – Do not ignore even a small leak in your home. These leaks will continue to grow if they remain untreated. This may be an indicator of a much bigger problem with your roof. Dark stains, sagging spots, and rotting tiles are all signs of water damage to your roof.
  2. Rotting – Rotting is very common for asphalt and wooden roofs. If you see signs of rotting then that is a very good indication that you need a new roof. Pay attention to rotting so that you can prevent a bigger problem.
  3. Roof Age – An easy indication of roof replacement is knowing the age of your roof. If your roof is older than 20 years old it may be time for a roof replacement!
  4. Moss and Algae – When there is a lot of moss on your roof it is not good. Moss traps moisture which damages the roof. If you see moss start to grow on your roof try and use a stiff brush to get rid of it.
