Reynolda House Museum of American Art Roof Replacement

Baker Roofing Company’s commercial steep slope team has been on the site of a major historic overhaul since June of 2021. The Reynolda House, the centerpiece of the Reynolda estate of Winston-Salem and now-art museum, elected Baker Roofing Company to revitalize the home’s appearance and preserve its structural integrity with a full tear-off and replica installation of the original roof made of Ludowici tile. Reynolda and Baker Roofing, both born in the 1910s, made a perfect match for this project.

Baker Roofing had the privilege of visiting Ludowici Headquarters in Ohio to see the team replicate the original Reynola tiles. We often think about the quality and products we are providing to our customers by looking at old processes while aiming to improve them without sacrificing the true value to the consumer. The craftsmanship of their roof tiles provides an unmatched aesthetic that can be found on buildings of all kinds, including both historic and newly built ones. Baker Roofing Company is honored to be an Elite Crown Roofer with Ludowici, giving us the highest standard for installation on both businesses and homes.

We are proud to have played such an important role in preserving this North Carolina historic treasure. The Reynolda House was a wonderful stage to display our mission of Always Good Work, and the roof that now sits above will serve as a testament to that mission.
