Richmond, VA, is home to unique restaurants, coffee shops, sports teams, and parks. Below we will showcase a few of these unique spots in Richmond that we love dearly.
  1. Blanchard’s Coffee and Roasting Company – This spot is one of our favorite coffee shops as it has a warm and inviting atmosphere. Not only does Blanchard’s make amazing lattes but they also sell their beans! Additionally, they have cute merchandise for sale such as t-shirts and coffee mugs. Next time you are passing through Richmond don’t forget to check out this coffee shop.
  2. Maymont Park – This is one of our favorite family activities in the city. On a nice day, Maymont Park is a great place to take young children. There are beautiful plants and a variety of exotic animals including crocodiles, owls, seahorses, snakes, etc. Make sure to visit this park for an unforgettable experience.
  3. Richmond Flying Squirrels – Who doesn’t like some good baseball on a summer night? The Richmond Squirrels are a minor league baseball team, located in Richmond. Not only are the games exciting, but the stadium is known for great hotdogs. The best part is the tickets are very reasonably priced.
  4. Monument Avenue – Sometimes it’s easy to forget about the significance of our history and its impact on current society. In an effort to educate yourself and your family regarding historical events and important figures be sure to visit the Richmond monuments. The monuments are not the only sights to see as the area is surrounded by gorgeous architecture and forestry.
  5. James River and State Park System – If you are interested in outdoor activities such as kayaking, hiking, or fishing this is the place for you. The park is also a nice place to camp when the weather is nice as it is located along the blue ridge mountains. If you don’t have the proper equipment for outdoor activities, no worries, such can be rented on sight.
  6. Casa Del Barco – There are so many amazing restaurants to try in Richmond, so if you are a foodie this is the place for you. Casa Del Barco is a great restaurant with a modern vibe. We can’t decide what is better, the Nachos or Chicken Wings. You’ll have to decide for yourself!

EPDM (ethylene propylene diene monomer)

A black, gray or white rubber roofing membrane known for its long lifespan. It’s commonly used on flat or low-slope buildings and is typically glued down, mechanically fastened or ballasted, not heat-welded.

PVC (polyvinyl chloride)

A high-end type of heat-welded thermoplastic membrane that stands up well to oils and chemicals. It’s ideal for restaurants or industrial buildings for its extra resistance, though it usually costs more.

TPO (thermoplastic olefin)

A durable type of heat-welded thermoplastic membrane that reflects sunlight and helps reduce cooling costs. It’s a cost-effective option for flat roofs but may not perform as well as PVC in harsh environments.

End cap

A metal cap that seals the open end of gutters, flashings, or panels. End caps prevent water from spilling and protect roof edges from corrosion or leaks.

Soldered joint
