New Construction Slate Roofing | College Chapel
At Christ The King Chapel on the campus of Christendom College, our steep slope team out of the Raleigh office installed 42,000 pieces of slate in a four color random blend of purple, Spanish black, unfading gray green, and semi weathering gray green, laid over FT Synthetic Cobalt Ultra underlayment. The roof is finished with 20oz copper flashing, gutters, and downspouts, along with a custom diamond pattern on the hip roof centered on two gold leafed pieces of historic slate salvaged from an old church in Ireland.
A building this detailed calls for the same care in the field as it shows from the ground. Every slate, seam, and joint was handled by our own crews, self-performed from start to finish, and as a 100% employee-owned company, that standard of ownership shows up in the finished roof.
