Burwell Material Handling’s Roanoke facility needed a roof that would keep its operations dry and running without interruption. Rather than tearing off the existing roof, our Roanoke crew installed a recover system over it. We mechanically fastened 1″ polyiso insulation and then installed a 60 mil TPO membrane, a single-ply roofing sheet with heat-welded seams and a reflective surface that helps manage heat on a large industrial roof. The project wrapped up in June 2026.
Recovering instead of tearing off kept disruption to the building to a minimum and kept the old roof out of the landfill. Our own crews self-performed the work from start to finish, and as a 100% employee-owned company, Baker Roofing stands behind every roof we install.
