EPDM Roof Replacement | University Arts Building

The Dillard building at the University of Lynchburg houses the Daura Museum of Art, and its roof is a mix of stepped and curved low-slope sections set between gallery skylights and rooftop equipment. Baker Roofing’s Roanoke office removed the existing roof down to the deck, then installed adhered tapered R-30 polyiso insulation and a new 60-mil EPDM membrane. The project was completed in July 2026.

A building that protects artwork needs a roof the university can count on for years. The tapered insulation moves water toward the drains and adds real thermal value, and every edge, curb and skylight was detailed with that in mind. Our own crews handled the work from tear-off to final inspection, and as a 100% employee-owned company, Baker stands behind the roof long after the job is done.
